Birds are descended from Theropods. No bird is thought to share more similarities to prehistoric dinosaurs than the Cassowary. From the large casque atop their head and huge dagger-like claws, this giant of the rainforest offers us a glimpse into the past.
In these three pieces I am exploring how seamlessly the Cassowary fits in amongst avian dinosaurs from the Mesozoiciac era.
There are only around 4000 cassowaries left.
